Dieser Schädel weist eineverheilte Fraktur (ohne wirksame medizinische Behandlung) der linken Backenknochen auf mit einer Verletzungen des Kiefers, des Rachens und des Jochbogens. Zusätzlich kann dieser Schädel auch verwendet werden, um Ernährungsstress und die Schwierigkeit der Beurteilung des Alters ohne dazugehöriges Skelett zu diskutieren.

This is an excellent skull displaying major facial trauma. The skull exhibits a healed comminuted fracture (without effective medical treatment) of the left cheek bones, with associated injuries to the jaw, throat, and eye orbit. In addition to the trauma, this skull could also be used to discuss nutritional stress, the difficulty of assessing age without the entire skeleton, and racial admixture. An osteological evaluation report (PDF), which details the trauma and other aspects of the skull with illustrative photographs, is available (BC-303-Report) and will be sent with the purchase of this specimen. 2-part skull (separate cranium & jaw).
