Oldowan Spheroid Tool
Oldowan Spheroid Tool - 1.75 MYA. This tool is a common object at many sites at Olduvai Gorge in East Africa, but there is no agreement on its use. Louis Leakey thought they might have been tied together in threes, like a "bolo," and thrown around the legs of prey. It's more likely that they were used as pounding stones to break down vegetable material or break into bones for marrow.
Bone Clones® stone tool casts are made of polyurethane resin.
