Machine for mechanical degreasing and removal of connective tissue from bird skins and smaller mammalian skins (also called birdflesher). The feather patches of birds are opened so that they can be easily arranged during preparation and they do not warp during drying.
This machine has been developed by a taxidermist. The motor is powerful and quiet. Options such as lighting, foot pedals and left/right running are available at extra cost. It is recommended to order the desired configuration, as retrofitting involves additional effort and cost. The hoods are made of stainless steel, can be removed with a few simple steps and can thus also be cleaned easily.
Two different splash protection hoods are preferable to the machine:
Fixed hood: Narrow hood with optimal splash protection. Suitable for mammalian skins and smaller birds.
Flexible hood: The hood has flexible side parts, so that even large birds can be processed without problems (eg: wings with long feathers or also clean brushes the bones). The splash guard is folded up on the feeding side, on the other side it is simply pushed away automatically when working. This design ensures an optimal combination of splash guard and enough space to work.
