Modern Sloth Claw
Choloepus hoffmanni
Two-toed Sloth Claw
The two-toed sloths use their long limbs and hooked claws to hang from trees, spending the majority of their lives upside down. They eat very little, allowed to do so by their very slow rate of metabolism. While they can use their claws to protect themselves, their first line of defense is their camouflaging fur and extremely slow movement, which makes them hard to detect.
