Gorilla Pelvis and Femur
Pelvis and femur set from the male Gorilla Skeleton SC-028. Gorillas have a generalized body plan meaning that they are capable of a variety of activities, such as arm swinging, running, leaping and walking. This is partially due to the architecture of the pelvis and femur that shift the center of gravity to just in front of the pelvis. Gorillas and other apes have narrow and tall pelves with the femur pointed straight down, making them lean forward to plant their knuckles on the ground during quadrupedal motion.
If you have a preference of right or left side femur, let us know. Otherwise, we will choose.
