Zoology: Bones (Fossil / Prehistoric)

This partial horse's foot is from our horse skeleton SC-125-A. The foot consists of the long pastern bone (or first phalanx), the short pastern bone (or second phalanx) and the coffin bone (or third phalanx). The coffin bone is enclosed by the hoof. Ligaments, tendons, cushions and cartilage contribute to the complicated structure of the horse's foot.

If you have a preference of right or left side, let us know. Otherwise, we will choose.
