Found in the forests of Madagascar, the nocturnal aye-aye is a quadrupedal climber and leaper that spends most of its time in trees. The aye-aye possesses a slender middle finger (3rd digit) that can rotate 360 degrees in the joint, independently from other fingers. They use this slender finger to tap tree trunks and remove larva from deep inside trees.
