Silicone RTV-22
High tear strength addition curing two component RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) silicone rubber. The low viscosity allows accurate reproduction of even the finest details. The availability of an additional retarder and thixotropic agent makes this silicone very versatile.
Processing instructions
- Good homogenization before removing from the delivery container,
- Keep mixing ratio: 1 : 1.
- Mix both components intensively.
- Pour silicone into a mold and avoid air pockets. The mixture should be poured at the edge of the mold and continue to flow itself.
- After cross-linking (about 1 hour), the mold can be opened. [
By adding the thickener drop by drop (max. 3 %), the silicone can be thickened continuously (viscous to fillerable). Important: Thickener must ALWAYS be shaken very well before use.
Product properties:- Mixing time at 23°C: 1 min.
- Working time at 23°C: 14 to 17 min
- Setting time at 23°C: 1 hour
- Shore hardness after 24 h: 21 /- 2 ShA
- Breaking load: 4.0 /- 1 N/mm
- Elongation at break: 380 /- 20%
- Tear strength: 20 /- 1 N/mm
- Mixing time at 23°C: 1 min.
