Bone Degreasing / Degreasing Service
Fat-free bones are the goal of every taxidermist. Fat in the bones looks unsightly and causes irreversible damage in the longer term due to fatty acids that form.
Especially with larger bones, this problem can only be solved with a degreasing system. Through cooperation with several museums in Switzerland, we can now offer you bone degreasing as a service.
Requirements for the bone material: The bones must be cleanly macerated (e.g. with ENZYRIM or Papain) and pre-degreased as far as possible (by using Supralan UF). In addition, all bones must be absolutely dry.
This is how the degreasing service works:
Skeletons, ligament skeletons, skulls over 5000g, skulls with large trophies, old bones (maceration longer than 6 months ago) etc. on request! The postage costs for the return are not included in the price. A surcharge will be made for bones not packed in maceration bags.

- You call us.
- You send the bones packed in maceration bags directly to us.
- We send the bones back to you. (Delivery time approx. 2 months)
- You will receive an invoice from the company "Bauer Handels GmbH"
