Bromothymol Blue
Indicator liquid for pH measurement of solvents from degreasing plants.
Application:
Dilute 20 ml of solvent 1:1 with distilled water and shake vigorously for 60 seconds. After 2 minutes, add a few drops of bromothymol blue. The pH value can be determined as follows:

- Yellow: pH < 6.5, the solvent is acidic and must be discarded.
- Green: pH 6.5 - 7.0, the solvent is neutral and can still be used, but a recheck is needed soon.
- Blue: pH > 7.0, the solvent is in the ideal range.
