Living in the mountain ranges of Central Asia from China to the Himalayas, snow leopards are highly endangered in the wild, mostly due to poaching for their highly prized pelts. They can leap up to fifty feet horizontally and twenty feet vertically, but unlike most cats, they do not roar. 2-part skull (separate cranium & jaw).
