Zoology: Bones

Found in both Asia and Africa, these large and beautiful cats are mostly nocturnal and solitary. They are endangered but breed well in zoos. Mostly spotted, they sometimes have a solid black coat, the spotting being only faintly visible. When black, they are often referred to as panthers. 2-part skull (separate cranium & jaw).
