Tambaqui

Colossoma macropomum
Pacu (Tambaqui) Skull
The tambaqui (also known as pacu) lives in the deep waters of the Amazon and Orinoco river basin of South America. Although it's in the same family as the piranha, the tambaqui does not eat meat and instead relies on seeds and fruits. Its teeth are well adapted for this type of diet, being more like human molars than the sharp, pointed, tearing teeth of piranhas. It grows considerably larger than the piranha, reaching about 4 feet in length. It is fast becoming threatened due to over fishing. 1-part skull (jaw glued to cranium).
