Inhabitants of tropical and subtropical waters, stingrays, like sharks, are a cartilaginous fish. They have great sensitivity to electrical patterns, which helps them to monitor their own position as well as to locate prey. They use their flat teeth to crush clams, oysters and other invertebrates. The original of this specimen was from Thailand.
