Weeping Capuchin Skull
The weeping capuchin is a social monkey found in deciduous and tropical forests in South America. Their diet consists of fruits, nuts, berries, small vertebrates and invertebrates. A dominant male leads a group of 10 to 50 members, with mating rights to all receptive females. They have a lifespan in the wild of approximately 35 years. They weigh from 5 to 6.5 pounds and are about 20 inches long with a semiprehensile tail measuring another 20 inches that can be used for climbing. Because of their social and intelligent nature, they are sometimes taken in as pets or trained to do tricks for television or animal acts. 2-part skull (separate cranium & jaw).
