Comparative Human Maxilla, Set of 3 (African, Asian, European)

Homo sapiens
Comparative Maxilla Set
This set contains three maxillae and teeth representing three ancestry groups: African, Asian and European. This is an excellent comparative set for forensic and archaeological studies, demonstrating the diversity of maxillary, nasal, dental and palate structures in Homo sapiens, and perhaps being useful in the identification of an individual's ancestry. The differences in the maxilla and teeth include:

Asian (male): The dental arch is rounded and the lingual surface of the incisors is shovel-shaped.

African (male): The dental arch is hyperbolic and the incisors are spatulate.

European (male): The dental arch is parabolic and the incisors are spatulate.
