Human Fetal 4 1/2 Months Set of 3 Postcranial Bones
The bones of the body can be divided into long bones, flat bones, short bones and irregular bones. The long bones are also called the tubular bones and are characterized by a long tubular shape with an epiphysis at one or both ends. The bones of this set consist of three long bones: the humerus, femur and tibia. The humerus can be distinguished from the femur and tibia by the deep depression found on the distal, posterior end of the bone. Cast from real bones, these 3 postcranial skeletal elements are excellent representations of human osteology at this stage of early second trimester development.
