Zoology: Bones

Chimpanzee Skeleton, Articulated

Pan troglodytes
Chimpanzee Skeleton, Articulated
This specimen is a particularly large male. Chimpanzees are Homo sapiens' closest living relatives, the genetic ties being far closer than those that chimps share with gorillas. We share 96 to 99.5% of our genetic material. A robust and lively ape, the chimpanzee is capable of insight, and has the ability to create and use tools. Chimpanzees have the most human-like features of the great apes. Custom mounting available for all skeletons, please inquire.

All individual postcranial bones are also available, see the Chimpanzee Group Page.
