Fire bellied toad lying on its back.
Model of a fire bellied toad lying on its back. With this model the warning coloration of the belly can be shown nicely.
Red-bellied toads, however, normally do not lie on their backs, but the warning eposition is shown when threatened (see model
AM/B002) If you put red-bellied toads on their backs, they usually immediately turn back onto their bellies. Only if you are pestered for a long time, they stay lying for a while.
The model can also be very good normal sitting in dioramas and is very attractive due to its irregular leg position, because it does not have to be placed on a flat surface as most models.
